The artificial intelligence boom has spent the last three years trapped behind glass, generating text, code, and images on digital screens. Now, the technology is moving to the factory floor. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former Google Life Sciences executive Vikram Bajaj have officially brought their startup, Prometheus, out of stealth mode with a staggering $12 billion Series B funding round.[1]

To execute this vision, Bezos and Bajaj have assembled a highly concentrated team of roughly 150 employees spread across offices in San Francisco, London, and Zurich. The headcount is extraordinarily small for a company carrying a $41 billion valuation.[3]
