Eagles Survive 157-Degree Turf, Stun Titans 24-20 on Late Touchdown

Four十四 seconds remained on the clock, the artificial turf at Nissan Stadium was radiating 157 degrees, and the Philadelphia Eagles trailed by three. Jalen Hurts dropped back from the Tennessee 3-yard line and lofted a high pass to the back of the end zone. Darius Cooper, an undrafted free agent who spent 2025 grinding on special teams, climbed the ladder to pull down his first career NFL touchdown. After Tennessee kicker Joey Slye drilled a 33-yard field goal to give the Titans a 20-17 lead with 1:56 remaining, Hurts took over. Star running back Saquon Barkley suffered a stinger in his left arm on the opening play, finishing with just 9 yards on four carries. Tight end Dallas Goedert also exited early with an injury. In their absence, Smith became the offensive engine, hauling in 10 receptions for 117 yards, while Tank Bigsby added a 2-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter.[1][4]

For the Titans, the collapse spoiled a resilient second-half effort and a clean game from rookie quarterback Cam Ward. The Eagles outgained the Titans 341 to 291 in total yards and dominated time of possession, holding the ball for 36 minutes and 25 seconds compared to Tennessee's 23:35.
