The 29-year-old Spaniard secured his fifth overall Astor Challenge Cup and his fourth in a row, tying Sebastien Bourdais’ all-time record for consecutive crowns. Driving the No. 10 Honda for Chip Ganassi Racing, Palou operated with a ruthless efficiency that suffocated the paddock, locking up the title at the Milwaukee Mile doubleheader before the season finale at Laguna Seca even began.[1][4]

The aggressive restructuring extends down the grid. AJ Foyt Racing made a major play for the future, signing 2026 Rookie of the Year Dennis Hauger to a multi-year deal. The 23-year-old Norwegian, who won the 2025 Indy NXT title before graduating with Dale Coyne Racing, will take over the legendary No. 14 Chevrolet from Santino Ferrucci.[7][8]
